New HR guideline (effective immediately):

1.1

If you need to run an important meeting, or any meeting, don’t you dare to book our cold and boring conference room! Instead, invite participants to hold the encounter at your home. This way you will be enabling, rather than forcing, a spirit of community, transparency, openness, flexibility, and trust. But please, don’t ask your invitees to help you clean the room or cook for you just for the sake of “peer collaboration”, that would be rude ;)

1.2

If you are invited to attend a business meeting at someone else’s home, just play along, and be sure to carry a creative and thoughtful present with you. Help clean the mess once the meeting ends, even if the host categorically tells you not to. Then, offer your home, as the place for a next meeting. That way you will be strengthening a virtuous loop :)

Adaptability principles summoned: community, transparency, openness, flexibility, trust, creativity, diversity, peer collaboration.

Adaptability enemies expelled: habit, centralization, fear, Inflexible business practices.
