Quick MIX Brainstorm: Defining Adaptability
Earlier in the hackathon Gary shared his definition of adaptability. Now it's your turn--we'd like your quick input on the most important things that set a truly adaptable organization apart from the rest. This "Quick MIX" brainstorm is open to all registered participants to the hackathon (register here). The best contributions earn a chance to be recognized in the hackathon blog, CIPD's on-line site, and in the social media channels of CIPD, the MIX.

Idea by Simon Jones on May 7, 2022
Any organisation can change - whether it's as a response to external pressures or as part of a strategy such as the introduction of new products. But an adaptable organisation to me is one that makes the necessary changes while operating in a manner consistent with its values. Making changes without this is not adaptable - simply reactive.

Idea by Ulrich Nettesheim on May 3, 2022
How long would it take Apple or Google or Big Global Bank to change how it fundamentally runs itself - 2 years or 10 years? What if we could implement a management system that could adapt itself as needed at the rate of change required by changing market conditions and stakeholder requirements? Imagine the competitive advantages!

Idea by Mike Richardson on May 6, 2022
Thus, a conversation-flow of out-thinking, out-questioning, out-deciding and out-acting the future (actions are a conversation with reality) with fast-cycle teamwork operating inside the ever faster-cycle business/economic environment in which we work. That requires an agility system from conversation-flow to cash-flow.

Idea by Kubatova Jaroslava & Kukelkova Adela on May 6, 2022
Organisation itself is defined by its employees. Reacting to a Global Talent War surrounding us, an organisation must be able to attract the best Talent available on the labour market. An adaptable organisation quickly react on Talents needs and progressively change its Employee Care Programme, especially those designed for Talents.
